Attunga 1865 Shiraz scores 97 points at Decanter!

It is absolutely inspirational what history, terroir and great winemaking can achieve. Planted in 1865, the revered Attunga vineyard celebrates an incredible legacy in the history of Australian Shiraz. Amongst the oldest living vines in the world, and the longest continually growing shiraz vineyard in the Clare Valley, Attunga’s 790 surviving vines tell our most ancient terroir story.
The survival and stamina of these rare old vine assets are thanks in large part to the special site on which they grow.
Meaning “high place” in the local Ngadjuri language, Attunga is located 335m above sea level on Terra Rossa soil. The deep roots of these Ancestor Vines ensures nature provides its own irrigation to this dry grown vineyard, allowing the vines to thrive in the harshest conditions.
Only from vintages of exceptional fruit quality do we release an Attunga 1865 Single Vineyard Shiraz, thus ensuring that the vineyard’s unique terroir and varietal character always shine through.

The 2018 vintage is shining brightly with a 97 point, PLATINUM Medal awarded by the judges at Decanter World Wine Awards! Every wine lover out there should give this rare Shiraz a try; available both online at https://lnkd.in/dYaCAHK7 or directly from our Cellar Door, it'd be a real shame to miss out!
