Lamb, live fire and Kilikanoon's Clare Valley wine took centre stage at Kilikanoon’s inaugural Festival of the Lamb event, bringing together local produce, expert knowledge and a long lunch on our Cellar Door Tregea Terrace.
Held at our Cellar Door in Penwortham, the event began on a sunny day with a hands-on whole-lamb butchery session led by a master butcher, giving guests an insight into the craft of preparing lamb. The team from Barbecue Revolution then shared their expertise in smoking, grilling and cooking over live fire, before guests came together for a generous long-table lunch paired with Kilikanoon wines.
Local produce was at the heart of the day, with lamb sourced from Wunderbar Farms, Australia’s first humanely accredited lamb farm, alongside locally sourced vegetables and other ingredients.
From learning new skills to sharing exceptional food and wine, the day was a celebration of South Australian producers, regional hospitality and the simple pleasure of coming together around the table.
The inaugural Festival of the Lamb was a sensational day, and we hope to welcome guests back to Kilikanoon for another celebration next year.
