While much of the wine world remained attached to cork, Clare Valley producers recognised that screwcaps offered a more reliable way to protect wine quality, particularly for aromatic varieties such as Clare Valley Riesling.
At the time, it was a bold move.
Today, it is difficult to imagine premium Australian Riesling without it.
What makes Clare Valley unique is not just its history, but its willingness to evolve. The region's reputation has been built by people who respect tradition while remaining open to new ideas when they improve quality.
