With the release of the 2018 James Halliday Wine Companion, we are pleased that Kilikanoon’s uncompromised commitment to quality is being recognised by these outstanding scores.
As it has been for over a decade, only 3 Clare Valley wineries were nominated to be a James Halliday 5 Star winery and in red. This accolade recognises Kilikanoon as "having a long track record of excellence - truly the best of the best" Only 3 Clare Valley wineries recieved the 5 Star rating, and of those, Kilikanoon is the only one to have achieved "Winery of the Year" in 2013.
The 2018 James Halliday Wine Companion results testify to Kilikanoon’s commitment to consistent quality, and always achieving the style and quality standards for each of our marques; across all varieties and indeed three regions.
14 wines were rated 94 points and above, including Shiraz from three regions, and 17 wines were rated 91 points and above across 7 different varieties or wine styles: Shiraz, Cabernet, Grenache, Riesling, Pinot Gris, GSM and Rose.
It is through leveraging the diversity of the Clare Valley, in soil, rainfall and elevation, that we are able to consistently achieve the set style and quality standards for each of our marques.
