The Meyman’s Shiraz is master fully composed from Kilikanoon’s diverse vineyard sites and sub regions, across the Clare Valley, delivering an elegant and approachable style.

Vintage Conditions

A second consecutive dry year, coupled with higher than average temperatures, made for a challenging 2019/20 growing season this resulted in yields being down by as much as 30%. The new year brought milder temperatures which gave the vines much needed relief, providing ideal ripening conditions for flavour development and acid retention.

Winemaking

Predominantly from our Farehams and Morrisons Vineyards in Leasingham. Picked in mid February then fermented in open fermenters for7-8 days. Pumped over twice daily. Basket pressed into quality French oak hogsheads 5% new balance 2-5 years old. Maturation in barrel for 15months prior to blending and bottling. No Fining or filtration
