Mr Killerman, as a young Mort Mitchell called him, lived alone in a humble tin shed in the hills behind the Kilikanoon cellar door. Entirely self-sufficient, he grew his own fruit and vegetables and roamed the valley for his meals with wild rabbits his favourite gourmet treat.
Mort grew to know and respect this man of the bush, learning the secrets of the land and how to become one with the environment. The Killerman's Run range of approachable wines showcases the distinguished and varied terroir of the Clare Valley and the Kilikanoon philosophy of uncompromising quality and consistency.

Winemaking
Our Killerman’s Run Cabernet Sauvignon has been crafted through careful fruit selection, traditional winemaking techniques, sixteen months maturation in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads and bottling unfiltered to fully enhance the wines character and appeal.
A dry and warm vintage, 2020 has delivered reduced yields of highly-flavoured fruit. Lower than average rainfall further concentrated the natural structure and through careful fruit selection and final blending, this final wine truely shows the essence of this variety that the Clare Valley can deliver.

Deep red in colour with deep crimson hues.
Nose
Vibrant varietal black current and tomato leaf lift from the glass.
Palate
The aromas are mimicked on the palate where they are supported by bright red berries that flow gently across the palate with seamlessly integrated tannins that are finely balanced by the natural acidity. The soft yet mouth coating body will give rise to further complexity if cellared carefully.
