Kilikanoon Wines
Grapes from the Baroota region, located between the cool waters of South Australia’s Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges from the heart of Kilikanoon Baroota Shiraz. ‘Baroota’ is derived from the Aboriginal word meaning a hunting place. Baroota enjoys a southern Mediterranean microclimate, ideal for the production of full-bodied, distinctive Shiraz.
‘I love working with fruit from Baroota, as it’s the first to ripen each year, giving me a chance to really focus on small batches of the finest grapes using traditional winemaking methods. The wine is full-bodied and unfiltered – you can enjoy it young and it will age happily for 5 years or more… if you can wait.’
