PLACE - Barossa Valley.
Our Crowhurst Shiraz reflects the very pinnacle of our Barossa Valley portfolio and is created from small parcels of hand picked fruit, exclusively selected from our Crowhurst Vineyard in Greenock.

VITICULTURE
An outstanding vintage in the Barossa Valley, 2012 was typically warm and dry, the perfect conditions to slow the ripening process down, intensifying the natural flavours and tannins and ensuring that our reserve Shiraz was at its peak of varietal and regional expression.

WINEMAKING
Small parcels of fruit were kept separate, traditionally vinified and then matured for 22 months in a combination of new and one year old small French oak casks, adding to the wines already impressive cellaring potential.

TASTING NOTES:
Colour: Deep red in colour with youthful crimson tints.

Aroma: Richly varietal flavours of dark chocolate, spicy plums and cedary French oak notes seamlessly combine on the nose.

Palate: An amazing tapestry of dark chocolate, ripe plums, mocha coffee and classy French oak flavours come together in a round and textural palate, further lengthened and increasing in complexity by the wines finely tuned tannins and natural acidity.
