The Malbec was harvested from one of the highest vineyards in Clare that benefits from the long setting sun light. The Cabernet was selected from a low lying block that runs along side a natural water course.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eVintage Conditions\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"\u003eThe 2022 vintage has been described as classic Clare with cool and dry conditions producing solid yields and fruit with great varietal character and natural acidity. Good late-winter and early-spring rains led to an even budburst, good early canopy growth and contributed to mitigating frost damage. Dry conditions prevailed from November onwards, with rainfall well below average for the remainder of the growing season.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWinemaking\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"\u003eThe grapes were harvested and crushed to a small open top fermenter. Approximately 10% of the Malbec rachis were returned to the must and plunged in. The must was then dropped to 4 degrees overnight.
