Mr. Killerman lived in a humble tin shed in the hills behind Kilikanoon. He foraged through the Clare Valley for his meals, finding wild rabbit and many other gourmet treats. Killerman’s Run reflects the rich landscape and being at one with the environment by sourcing and blending wines from right across the Clare Valley into a seamless wine.
The Killerman’s Run range of wines are crafted blends from across the finest vineyards and sub regions in the Clare Valley.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS With a cool growing season reminiscent of conditions of over a decade ago, the Pinot Gris bunches were monitored and sections selected at their peak desirability for the winery. Located in a natural saddle in the vineyard, the combination of richer soils and greater shade sees the varietal crispness maintained throughout the growing season.
WINEMAKING Once harvested, the grapes were placed into the press where they were drained and gently pressed to tank for cold settling. The racked juice was cold fermented for three weeks to retain freshness and delicate aromatics. The finished wine was then stabilised and filtered to ensure clarity and longevity
Pale straw with a soft blush of salmon
Honey dew and melon and layered over soft notes of lime zest.
A classic dry style Pinot Gris rich in flavour of crisp melon that is layered over a ripe lemon and lime zest. The rich flavours are balanced by a full palate that is driven by a firm core of fruit. A fresh oyster shell minerality structures the finish and lingers in a refreshingly tonic freshness
