Composed from premium Shiraz vineyards on the east and west ridges of our estate property in the Clare Valley.

Vintage Conditions

Nourished by replenishing winter rains, the 2021 vintage produced balanced yields of intensely flavoured fruit. Cooler than previous seasons, the mild days and cool nights allowed the fruit to ripen slowly. Under these ideal conditions, the Shiraz thrived with the
berries further naturally concentrating their flavours on the vine.

Winemaking

Parcels of Shiraz for this exclusive wine were selected from the east face ridge of the Morrison Vineyard - part of the Kilikanoon winery estate. This elevated site with multiple plantings of Shiraz with differing aspect, altitude and soil profiles provide the subtle
nuances required to produce a layered wine that is concentrated yet finely balanced. With fermentation lasting on an average of 14 days, each parcel of grapes were hand plunged before being basket press.
