Kilikanoon Wines has a long standing relationship with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra; Kilikanoon Proprietor and Brand Ambassador Nathan Waks was a former Co-Principal Cellist for the SSO. Celebrating our partnership with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, our Cello wines offer exceptional value and are usually available only to export markets. This is a rare opportunity to get to try the Kilikanoon Cello Shiraz!

  • Winemaking

Small parcels of Shiraz were selected across two vineyards at their optimal levels of ripeness, vinified separately in small open topped fermenters, each pumped over by hand before being basketed pressed into a selection of seasoned French oak. It was then cellared for fourteen months with each parcel removed from oak and carefully blended before bottling both unfined and unfiltered to preserve Baroota’s unique regional characters.

    Appearance

Brick red in colour with youthful crimson hues.

    Nose

The aromas of spicy plum and red fruit notes jump out of the glass, assisted by subtle French oak chariness and cedary overtones.

    Palate

A fine yet textural palate, the flavours of ripe plums, dark cherries, hints of cocoa powder and tar perfectly combine with the natural acidity and balanced tannins in a long finish.

Please note, this wine has a Japanese back label.
