Kilikanoon Wines
A wine crafted from parcels from some of South Australia’s most famous wine regions. A cool year, that slowed down the ripening process allowing each parcel to be harvested at its optimum maturity. A very wet 2016 growing season coupled with intermittent rainfall during the first three months of 2017 provided the vines plenty of moisture to draw upon, the favourable vintage conditions further increasing the total blends flavour intensity, varietal character and cellaring potential.
Our traditional winemaking practices, attention to the finest detail as well as bottling our red wines without fining or filtration has further enhanced the wines broad appeal.
Dark cherries, subtle oak influences, kitchen spices and red fruit lift all combine handsomely on the nose.
Bright, inviting notes of ripe plums, black olives and toasty French oak interweave superbly on the nose.
Dark cherries again feature on the palate along with savoury nuances, fine cedary oak tones, fine grained tannins and balanced acidity complete the package, persisting in a taut classy finish
