We know that great wines always start in the vineyard, but once this small parcel of fruit arrives at our winery, it is vinified in a small open fermenter and allowed extended time on skins. After basket pressing to seasoned French oak puncheons and hogsheads, the wine is allowed to mature for 15 months in the cellar.

Evocative red fruits with strawberry compote, Turkish delight and blackcurrants are underpinned by notes of forest floor and savoury spice.
Considered oak plays a supporting role here, providing a densely woven matrix to carry the complex layers of wild black cherry, liquorice, dark chocolate and clove which culminate with supple tannins and a lingering finish.
