Place
The Killerman’s Run range of wines are masterfully composed blends selected from across the finest vineyards and sub regions in the Clare Valley.
Vintage Conditions
Following the dry year prior and coupled with lower than average winter rain fall, the vines entered the fruiting season early and under trying conditions. While detrimental to some varieties, the Shiraz vines thrived. The Shiraz vines in response produced lower than average yields, however increasing the concentration of each berry as they focused their energy into the grapes.
Winemaking
Each individual parcel was vinified separately, and remained so until the final wine was assembled. Maturation in a selection of seasoned French oak hogsheads for 15 months provides softness and elegance to the silky palate.
