Grapes from the Baroota region, located between the cool waters of South Australia’s Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges from the heart of Kilikanoon Baroota Shiraz. ‘Baroota’ is derived from the Aboriginal word meaning a hunting place. Baroota enjoys a southern Mediterranean microclimate, ideal for the production of full-bodied, distinctive Shiraz.
‘I love working with fruit from Baroota, as it’s the first to ripen each year, giving me a chance to really focus on small batches of the finest grapes using traditional winemaking methods. The wine for this special edition of Kilikanoon's Baroota Reserve is rich, complex and unfiltered – you can enjoy it young and it will age happily for 5 years or more… if you can wait.’

Our Killerman’s Run Shiraz is made from premium parcels of fruit selected from right across the Clare Valley. Traditional winemaking techniques; including pumping over by hand, basket pressing and keeping all parcels separate until the final assemblage, has created a wine of tremendous varietal power, regional character and consistent quality.
Brick red in appearance with youthful crimson tints.
Enhanced aromatics of dark fruits, kitchen spices, fresh tar and cedary oak notes feature prominently on the nose.
Impressive structure, complexity and generosity of flavour a hallmark of this Shiraz, the dark fruit and spice flavours carry over confidently from the nose, beautifully balanced and supported by subtle oak, natural tannins and acid infusion in a long sculptured palate.
Mr Killerman, as a young Mort Mitchell called him, lived alone in a humble tin shed in the hills behind the Kilikanoon cellar door. Entirely self-sufficient, he grew his own fruit and vegetables and roamed the valley for his meals with wild rabbits his favourite gourmet treat.
Mort grew to know and respect this man of the bush, learning the secrets of the land and how to become one with the environment. The Killerman's Run range of approachable wines showcases the distinguished and varied terroir of the Clare Valley and the Kilikanoon philosophy of uncompromising quality and consistency.
Our Killerman’s Run Cabernet Sauvignon has been crafted through careful fruit selection, traditional winemaking techniques, sixteen months maturation in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads and bottling unfiltered to fully enhance the wines character and appeal.
A cooler than expected vintage caught many by surprise, the lower evening temperatures punctuated by a number of lighter rainfall events that slowed down the ripening process and allowed the harvest to run well into April. Clare always looks its best in the cooler seasons and these conditions have been very favourable in creating wines of great definition, character and complexity.
Brick red in colour with deep crimson hues.
The aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, tobacco leaf and subtle French oak char combine sweetly on the nose.
Richly flavoured and textured, the classic cassis and leaf notes carry through confidently from the nose onto the palate, beautifully supported by fine grained natural tannins, smoky oak influences and balanced acidity. Its long and succulent finish will provide added complexity if given additional time in the cellar.
Fermented at cool temperatures for 3 weeks with an aromatic yeast strain. The ferment was arrested prior to complete dryness to give a hint of additional texture and roundness nicely balanced by naturally retained, crisp acidity.
Made in a classic Clare Valley regional style primarily from carefully selected vineyards in the Watervale sub region.

Lifted and intense, featuring fresh limes, floral notes, lemon curd and granny smith apples in abundance.
A classic Clare Valley Riesling in every sense, beautifully poised and measured, the combination of fresh limes and lemon essence carrys forward from the nose superbly supported by crisp natural acidity and a green apple finish.
Made in a true Rhône Valley style, all of the components were vinified and matured individually in a range of seasoned French oak hogsheads for 16 months before final assemblage and bottling unfined and unfiltered to further complement the wines appeal.
Bright red in colour with youthful crimson hues.
Elevated and brimming full of dark fruits, kitchen spices, savoury meats, dusty oak and just a hint of tarriness.
Moulded in the style of the great Rhône blends of southern France, the palate has been carefully blended to create a wine of tremendous balance, poise and symmetry, the Grenache and Shiraz in perfect sync on the front and centre of the palate, both complementing the savoury nuances and structure delivered by the Mataro on the finish.
