Packed with fruit, it’s gentle and luscious, long and complete, with a charming length of fruit underpinned by soft, plaint tannins, finishing with a lingering meatiness.

Prophecy Shiraz

95 Points - Smooth and almost mataro-like, this supple and gentle Barossa shiraz has a faintly meaty perfume of white flowers, dark plums and blackberries, blueberries and fresh creamy vanilla oak.
It’s soft and ethereal, pliant and pruney, with a long, harmonious palate of restrained fruit, pliant tannins and a gentle acidity.

94 Points - Classic savoury older style wine, with a wild, heady and alluring perfume and a smooth, gentle, but deliciously vibrant palate.
Briary flavour of blackberries and plums underpinned by firmish, loose-knit tannins are underpinned by creamy, meaty aspects before finishing with length and drive.

It’s smooth, juicy and generous, with a long, vibrant presence of lively fruit and meaty, chocolatey aspects underpinned by a fine, chalky backbone, finishing with softness and a lingering note of licorice.

Covenant Shiraz

91 Points - An elegant, softer and more gentle shiraz whose juicy aromas of cassis, blackberries,
blueberries and redcurrants and fresh cedar/vanilla oak are backed by notes of black pepper, spicy notes of clove and cinnamon plus a suggestion of animal hide.
It’s long and complete, with a fine, dusty spine supporting its long and vivacious palate, finishing with gentle acids and a lingering hint of five spice.

 

Duke Reserve Grenache

94 Points - Long, smooth and fine-grained, this stylish grenache has a brambly, rather meaty bouquet of figs, raisins and raspberries backed by a suggestions of quince and earthy, funky nuances.
It’s medium to full-bodied, with a measured, polished expression of bright, deep and translucent flavours of red and blue fruits that become quite meaty and savoury towards its long, refreshing finish.

 

Kelly 1932 Grenache

93 Points - Subtle, ethereal and stylish, this fragrant, meaty and musky grenache reveals aromas of licorice, sweet red cherries, blood plums, baked earth and a hint of mint.
It’s generous and juicy, round and mouthfilling, with and opulent but medium to full-bodied presence of fruit supported by firmish, powdery tannins that extend with length and drive towards a gentle finish.

 

Killerman’s Run Shiraz

2015
90 Points - Soft but vibrant, this wild and briary shiraz is a delightful early-drinking red whose spicy, peppery expression of small berry flavour is carefully matched with creamy cedary oak and a pliant spine of supple tannins.
Punctuated by a bright acidity, its lingering core of fruit finishes with pleasing balance and a note of licorice.

95 Points - Minty and herbal, with classical long-term depth, elegance and sinewy spine.
